Mad Catz MicroCON Controller

This pad looks half good, half bad, nice design but with cheap looking plastic. On contact it proves adequately usable and the rubber grips help secure it to your hands nicely. It's a little small for my large hands but due to the chunky nature is comfortable enough to use for extended gameplay without problems. The triggers are a little on the narrow side (as seen in the Back picture) and the springs aren't as strong as you may be used to on the official controller, the feel isn't bad, or too light, just different, which means it will take a while to get used to.

The big problem for me with this controller is the thumbsticks, don't get me wrong they work well enough with a good action and your thumbs stay nicely attached with some good rubber... for about 2 weeks! After 2 weeks of average use the rubber had split open around the edge of the left thumbstick and then deteriorated so badly that i had to peel it all off (which leaves a small, holled, smooth surface that is failry unusable, shown in the picture above). I can only guess how long the rest of it would have lasted...
