Err Msg: inetcfg.dll, Windows 98
When you install an earlier version of Internet Explorer over a newer version the configuration files may get a bit confused. Three files need to be extracted using System File Checker.
1. Start>> Run>> sfc
System File Checker will open.
2. Select "Extract One file from Instalation CD" and type into the available box "inet16.dll".
Then click Start.
3. When it asks for a Location to "Restore From" and "Restore To":
If SFC recognises the name it should already fill these boxes in.
Ensure the location is correct.
The location should be c:\windows\system.
Repeat this operation, and replace the files being extracted with the following:
icfg95.dll
inetcfg.dll
4. Run "icwconn1.exe" Click "OK" and follow the instructions.
