How to set your v.92 modem to work as a v.90

control panel>> modems>> Highlight the modem>> properties (button)>> connection (tab)>> Advanced (tab)>> extra settings:

Win XP

control panel>> (switch to classic view) phone and modem options>> modems (tab)>> Highlight the modem>> Properties (button)>> Advanced (tab)

Then set V92 to V90 by using this Init string
