Macintosh Keyboard Shortcuts

Note :Not all of the shortcut keys will work in all versions of the Macintosh operating systems.

Add to favorites.

Open Apple + T

Close the current window.

Open Apple + W

Copy the selected item to the clipboard.

Open Apple + C

Cut the selected item.

Open Apple + X

Eject.

Open Apple + E

Display the find dialog box.

Open Apple + F

Focus to the desktop level.

Open Apple + Shift + Up Arrow

Highlight the next icon inside the folder, in alphabetical order.

Tab

Highlight the previous icon inside the folder, in alphabetical order.

Shift + Tab

Open Apple + ?

Make alias.

Open Apple + L

Minimize window

Open Apple + M

New finder window.

Open Apple + N

New folder.

Open Apple + Shirt + N

Open the selected icon.

Open Apple + O

Open the selected icon.

Open Apple + Down

Paste item from the clipboard.

Open Apple + V

Repeat the last find operation.

Open Apple + G

Select the icon above the one currently highlighted.

Up arrow

Select the icon and add it to the set of those selected.

Shift + Click

Select the icon below the one currently highlighted.

Down arrow

Select the icon to the left of the one highlighted.

Left arrow

Select the icon to the right of the one highlighted.

Right arrow.

Show original item.

Open Apple + R

Snapshot of the screen and saves to a PICT file.

Open Apple + Shift + G
